BUS2BUS, the trade show for the bus industry which will take place in April 2024 in Berlin, is launching its fourth BUS2Talk podcast series and will make ist first road show stop in France.

Even if the next BUS2BUS is not taking place until 24 and 25 April 2024 in Berlin, the trade show for exhibitors, trade visitors and experts from the bus industry already has much to offer.

Listeners can now listen in to episode one of the fourth BUS2Talk podcast series. Kerstin Kube-Erkens, senior product manager at BUS2BUS, and moderator Totinia Hörner talk to representatives and pioneering entrepreneurs from the bus industry, visionary minds and startups about new technology, trends, innovations and challenges.

Kerstin Kube-Erkens is eagerly awaiting her guests: “I look forward to getting to know our mobility experts a bit more in our podcast discussions and to delve into the innovations that this industry is getting on the road." Totinia Hörner, whose focus is on mobility, innovation and leadership, is moderating the episode and excited at the prospect of the fourth series: "I am really fascinated with many aspects of mobility and in particular the people involved. That is why I can hardly wait to take our podcast listeners on a journey to the future of mobility.“

Ben Gallmeister is the guest in the first episode. He is in charge of strategic partnerships at Vesputi, a leading European B2B tech provider of sustainable mobility solutions that makes integrating public transport services into third-party apps an easy task.

The new podcast series will cover ten episodes. The following have already been booked as interview guests for the next episodes: Jan Thomas, CEO of the startup Insider, Arndt Hecker, in charge of Regio Bus business development at DB Regio, and Marvin Bratke, managing partner, Innovation/Mobility at Urban Beta. Over the coming months, podcast listeners will be able to find out more about mobility sector startups, supermarket buses and mobility solutions for regional services, the future of mobility hubs, along with new customer needs and human-centred design as well as electromobility and the relevant charging infrastructure. Future guests will be: Benedikt Lahme, regional director DACH, at Optibus, on the subject of ’AI for bus planning’, as well as Steffen Schulze, team leader Bus & Rail at NOW, and Oliver Hoch, divisional head, Battery-Electric Mobility and Charging Infrastructure at NOW, on the subject of electromobility.

From 22 to 23 March BUS2BUS will be represented on a stand (G29) at the Autonomy Mobility World Expo (AMWE) in Paris. The first digital BUS2BUS road show stop of the year will be recorded during AMWE and will be available a few days later as a video-on-demand on the website of BUS2BUS. The road show stop in France will look at the demands on rural and urban mobility and infrastructure while placing the spotlight on buses. Among other topics, mobility experts will discuss what effects today’s customer needs will have on urban and long-distance transport, what differences there are between the demands on long-distance transport in France and Germany, whether seamless mobility is also relevant for long-distance travel, and what sustainable mobility solutions and technologies can be carried over from urban to long-distance transport systems and vice-versa. Taking part will be: Denis Samson, commercial director, Otokar Europe SAS, urban planner and futurist, Dr. Stefan Carsten and Grégoire Bonnat, co-founder and CEO, Padam Mobility. The event will be moderated by Sandrine Garnier, chief editor of Mobily-Cités.
