Kerstin Kube-Erkens, Director of BUS2BUS at Messe Berlin GmbH, will present the highlights of BUS2BUS 2026 and show how the event addresses current industry trends. She will also provide insights into the overall program, introduce the exhibitors, and explain the overall concept of the 5th anniversary edition.
Christiane Leonard, Chief Executive Director of the bdo association, addressed the current challenges faced by bus operators, delved into political framework conditions, and unveiled the political highlights expected at BUS2BUS 2026.
Dr. Stefan Carsten , Futurist, Head of the BUS2BUS Advisory Board, and Curator of the BUS2BUS Future Forum, explains the key topics of the Future Forum—including the future of energy and sustainable drives, Mobility-as-a-Service (MaaS), demand-driven mobility, artificial intelligence and autonomous mobility, next-generation mobility, sustainable tourism, and transformation and change in the bus industry and the social and political significance of buses. In this context, he emphasizes the role of the Advisory Board in the stage program. He then presents the stage program for BUS2BUS 2026 and explains the special significance of the topic of “autonomous driving” for the future of public transport and for social participation in rural areas.
Maximilian Rohs, Director of Infrastructure & Mobility at PwC, will provide an outlook on the future of bus mobility in Germany and Europe until 2040. He will highlight strategic developments in the industry, classify current trends, and outline prospects for companies, cities, and regions.
