BUS2INSIGHTS: TRAPEZE SWITZERLAND – LIO-VOLTA: E-BUS MONITORING AND DISPATCHING

Energy efficiency and climate neutrality are hot topics these days – and they affect practically all sectors, including public transport. Transport companies are tasked with reducing emissions and achieving climate targets. This is where e-mobility plays an important role. Battery-electric buses bring new challenges that include coordinating charging processes and dealing with limited range. With the future-focused LIO-Volta solution from Trapeze, dispatchers can monitor a fleet's energy management as well as vehicle power needs and excess range. LIO-Volta provides suitable dispatching plans to optimally operate e-buses in the route network according to the timetable and to intervene as efficiently as possible in case of disruptions.

BUS2INSIGHTS: VECTOR INFORMATIK – EASY E-BUS DEPOT OPERATION THANKS TO VDV 463 AND VCHARM

Electromobility is making its way into bus depots. Ensuring that electric buses are fully charged and ready for departure requires data transfer between the charging management and depot management systems. The new VDV 463 norm defines a standardized interface and enables a uniform exchange of data between the management systems. This enables depot operators to openly select systems without being tied to one manufacturer when expanding the infrastructure. In the video of Vector Informatik, we explain the advantages of the standardized interface and show how it is implemented in the vCharM charging management system.
