Third Stop:
DACH Region

At the third BUS2BUS Roadshow stop, selected mobility experts from the DACH region discussed the current status of new and sustainable drives in the region. A special focus was on the developments in E-mobility in long-distance bus transport. The panelists examined the challenges of long-distance bus transport as well as developments in infrastructure and battery technology that support the shift to sustainable transportation.

In addition, the experts discussed the role of new and modern fueling, charging stations and rest stops as well as the definition of mobility hubs in the future. Another important discussion point concerned new materials and customer needs that are currently influencing all aspects of mobility. The panelists explained what adjustments need to be made within their companies and how the image of the bus can be positively changed to attract new generations to modern long-distance bus travel.

As the only Swiss provider, we have stationed coaches at six locations in Switzerland. In addition, the EUROBUS Group is active at many locations as a " Service Public" company in public transport. Every day, more than 600 employees with over 300 buses, coaches and school buses are in operation and look forward to welcoming you on board. Sustainability and electric mobility are at the forefront at EUROBUS, currently over 20 electric regular service buses and over 20 electric school buses are in operation, service vehicles (PW) have been converted to electric throughout.

Nussbaumer has been with Eurobus for 25 years, he has been CEO of the EUROBUS Group since January 2022, he represents the interests of Eurobus at ASTAG on the board. As exam president for road transport managers and specialist lecturer in road transport, he is actively involved in promoting young talent in passenger transport.

ASFINAG builds, operates and tolls the freeways and expressways in Austria. The network length is currently about 2250 km. The owner is the Republic of Austria. It is financed exclusively by revenues and bonds and not by taxes.
