  • More than 50 Buses in Action: BUS2BUS 2026 Brings Bus Mobility to Life

More than 50 buses, test drives, simulators, and guided tours: BUS2BUS 2026 showcases how buses, technologies, and operations are changing – and makes innovation in bus transportation a hands-on experience.

More than 50 buses, over 140 exhibitors from 25 countries, and a large test area: On April 15 and 16, 2026, at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds, BUS2BUS 2026 will demonstrate the direction in which bus transportation is heading – and bring innovation in operations to life.

In addition to the stage program featuring over 100 sessions and more than 120 international speakers, the trade show focuses on formats where trade visitors can directly try out vehicles and technologies. These include test drives, simulators, and curated tours of the exhibition grounds.

Buses in action: Test drives on the outdoor grounds

On the outdoor grounds, trade visitors can experience buses in action firsthand. Manufacturers present their latest vehicles not only at their stands but also during test drives on the track. This demonstrates how new drive technologies, vehicle concepts, and assistance systems perform in operation.

Participating manufacturers include Daimler Buses, Karsan, K-Bus, SOR, SW Bus, and Tremonia Mobility.

    Insight into the driver’s workplace

The workplace inside the bus is also a key focus. Driving simulators and driving school buses – including those from BVG and LEWA – offer insights into modern cockpits. Visitors can take a seat themselves and experience how assistance systems and digital onboard technology support bus operations.

Guided Tours and Workshops on Key Future Topics

BUS2BUS is expanding its professional program to include guided tours and workshops on key future topics in bus transportation. The focus is particularly on zero-emission powertrains, charging infrastructure, and digital solutions for planning, operations, and automation.

The Young Mobility Network (YMN) guided tours provide a structured way to explore the trade show and lead participants directly to selected exhibitors. These tours connect vehicles, infrastructure, energy supply, and digitalization through concrete application examples.

In addition, several workshops will delve into current challenges and potential solutions facing the industry. On the first day of the event, the workshops “Setting up Charging Infrastructure at Depots: Challenges and Solutions” and “Digital Transformation in Bus Tourism” will be the focus; on the second day, “When the Railway doesn't Operate: Replacement Services that Deliver”; participation is free with a valid BUS2BUS ticket, but prior registration is required.

    Focus on Bus Drivers

A special program is designed for bus drivers. During Bus Drivers’ Day, they explore the trade show in guided groups, test vehicles, and exchange ideas directly with manufacturers and industry representatives. An afternoon panel discussion will address the demands of the profession and the role of drivers in the mobility of the future.

There will be an autograph session with Michel Schwartz at BU2BUS. His “4-1-5” greeting went viral, making him not only a TikTok star but also Germany’s most famous bus driver.

New dialogue formats at the trade show

The program is complemented by new dialogue formats. On the Live Podcast Stage, industry representatives, mobility experts, and entrepreneurs will discuss current developments in the bus market – live in front of an audience.

At the BUS2BUS Selfie Spot, trade visitors can also share their impressions of the trade show. Posts will appear on social walls throughout the venue.

    The Bus Industry’s Meeting Place

With test drives, simulators, guided tours, and interactive formats, the BUS2BUS exhibition combines networking, knowledge exchange, and hands-on experience. The trade show brings together manufacturers, transit companies, startups, and mobility experts to showcase the latest developments in bus transportation.
