  • BUS2BUS 2026 Brings the Transformation of the Bus Industry To The Road

With 140+ exhibitors, 50+ buses, four stages, and 100+ sessions, BUS2BUS 2026, together with its partner bdo, will showcase the entire spectrum of bus mobility in Berlin and bring the industry together in one place.

On April 15 and 16, 2026, the Berlin Exhibition Grounds will once again become the central meeting place for the national and international bus and supplier industry, with more than 140 exhibitors from 22 countries and around 4,000 expected trade visitors. As a practice-oriented business platform, BUS2BUS brings together transport companies, manufacturers, suppliers, technology providers, and political players in a targeted manner and creates a framework for investment decisions and strategic orientation in a phase of profound industry change.

Kerstin Kube-Erkens, Director of BUS2BUS, emphasizes: “BUS2BUS 2026 shows the transformation of the industry not in theory, but in practical implementation. Today, companies have to make decisions under real economic and operational conditions. This is precisely why we are creating a platform where solutions can be experienced, evaluated, and further developed in direct exchange.”

Christiane Leonard: “Anyone who wants to know where the bus industry is heading should not miss BUS2BUS. It stands for innovation, exchange, and political impetus and is the place where entrepreneurs can pick up crucial ideas and solutions for the future of bus transport in public transport and tourism—from digitalization to autonomous driving.”

Under the motto “Driven by the Future,” BUS2BUS 2026 combines a trade show, stage program, and live experiences into an integrated format with a clear focus on implementation. The focus is on concrete, scalable solutions for the transformation of bus mobility—from emission-free drives and digitalization to new operating and business models under real operating conditions.

From manufacturers to system suppliers: high-caliber industry lineup

BUS2BUS 2026 is already receiving a high number of exhibitor inquiries in the run-up to its fifth edition and is responding to the strong demand from the industry with two halls and double the exhibition space. Exhibitors will present innovations along the entire bus mobility value added chain – from vehicles and systems to digital services and infrastructure.

Leading manufacturers such as Daimler Buses, MAN, BYD, OTOKAR, Scania Germany, VinFast, Iveco Magirus, Karsan, MCV, SOR, and Irizar/Higer are using the platform specifically to position their current and future vehicle solutions. At the same time, key system suppliers and technology providers such as ZF Friedrichshafen, IVU Traffic Technologies, OPES Solar Mobility, TO-ZERO electric vehicles, H2 MOBILITY, Fogmaker, Trapeze, Wattkraft, Zenobē, and Spheros are setting important trends along the technological value added chain. The line-up is complemented by mobility providers such as BVG and DB Regio, as well as the Federal Ministry of Transport, thus representing the entire bus ecosystem of industry, operations, technology, and regulation.

50+ buses and 16,000 m² of outdoor space for maximum practical relevance

BUS2BUS 2026 is consistently focused on practical relevance and utilizes 16,000 m² of outdoor space for live demonstrations and test drives. Vehicles are not only presented there, but also actively demonstrated in use – in various application scenarios and under realistic operating conditions.

Over 50 buses of various sizes and drive concepts make the event one of the most practical platforms in the industry – from autonomous minibuses to city and intercity buses to modern coaches. For transport companies and decision-makers, this approach enables a well-founded evaluation of new technologies in terms of economic efficiency and usability.

100+ sessions on four stages: Specialist program with an international perspective

The specialist program, with over 100 sessions on four stages, will be shaped by more than 120 international speakers from the worlds of business, politics, research, and practice, complementing the trade show with a well-founded content framework. The focus will be on key industry topics such as decarbonization, digitalization, new operating models, and regulatory frameworks.

The Future Forum Stage is dedicated to strategic future topics such as demand-oriented mobility, next-generation mobility, and transformation & change in the bus industry, and includes, among other things, the bdo policy talks on current transport, economic, and European policy issues.

The Deep Dive Stage delves deeper into the content with best practices and practical discussions on operational industry topics. The Partner Stage focuses on concrete solutions for day-to-day business – from e-mobility and emission-free drives to skills shortages, cost developments in public transport, and autonomous mobility. It is developed and designed in cooperation with the bdo regional associations.

The program is complemented by a fourth stage serving as a live podcast studio: The seventh season of the BUS2BUS podcast BUS2Talk will be recorded on site, bringing the industry dialogue to life.

bdo brings industry and politics together at BUS2BUS

The German Bus and Coach Operators’ Association (bdo) is actively involved in shaping BUS2BUS as a conceptual partner. The association will have its own stand in Hall 25, offering trade visitors a central point of contact for discussing current industry issues and political framework conditions.

The Partner Stage, designed for the first time for BUS2BUS, will focus on topics that come directly from the regions and companies. Developed and managed in cooperation with the bdo regional associations, it offers an authentic view from the field. Here, key industry issues will be discussed in a practical and solution-oriented manner – together with companies and entrepreneurs on site.

A political highlight of BUS2BUS 2026 will be the participation of the German Federal Transport Minister Patrick Schnieder in the official opening tour of the trade show. His ministry will also be represented with its own stand at the trade show.

Focus on skilled workers, young talent, and operational professions

In addition to technological innovations, BUS2BUS 2026 specifically addresses the industry's need for skilled workers. With an expanded Young Professionals program and the first-ever Bus Driver Day, the trade show is focusing on skilled workers, young talent, and operational professions, thereby strengthening the personnel base for the transformation of bus mobility.
