Next stop: Germany, Austria and Switzerland!
As part of the second stop on the BUS2BUS roadshow, selected panelists from the DACH region will discuss the topic of “Sustainable Tourism: Sustainable Travel Destinations & Climate-Friendly Mobility” on June 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
As travel accounts for a significant proportion of CO₂ emissions in tourism, environmentally friendly mobility solutions such as long-distance buses are increasingly coming into focus. This digital event will demonstrate how climate-friendly travel options can meet the demands of an environmentally conscious target audience and help tourist destinations to reduce their ecological footprint.
Those taking part include Iris Hegemann, Head of Cooperation and Specialist Topics at the German Tourism Association, who is also a member of the BUS2BUS Advisory Board. Also joining the discussion will be Sebastian Tanzer (CEO of triply) and Manuel Lampe (owner and managing director of Bus Austria).
Lisa-Marie Coels, editor-in-chief of EuroBus, will moderate the event. The hosts will be the BUS2BUS team from Berlin and the Messe Berlin representative offices in Switzerland and Austria.
The discussion will focus on innovative and customer-oriented mobility concepts that promote sustainable travel while offering flexible and comfortable solutions for the final stage of the journey. It is clear that if we are to embrace sustainable tourism, we must also consider sustainable ways to reach our destinations, and buses will play a key role in the future of climate-friendly travel.
This exciting discussion will be broadcast via livestream. Audience members will have the unique opportunity to participate by submitting questions, which will be answered directly by the high-profile panellists. Free registration for the Roadshow DACH is now open. The event will be held in German.
