An exciting panel with speakers from the mobility sector, Messe Berlin and the German Bus and Coach Operators‘ Association provided insights into the topics and trends of BUS2BUS 2022 at the Digital Media Preview on 31 March.
Martin Ecknig started with Siemens in 1983, working for several divisions between Europe and China. During his 37 years with the Siemens Group, he gained many years of experience in business development in an international corporate environment. His work at the Group took the native Berliner to Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong, among other places, for many years. He worked in very different management roles and responsibilities and helped shape the transformation process of the technology group in times of fundamental change. He has been Chairman of the Board of Management, CEO of Messe Berlin GmbH since January 1, 2021.
Christiane Leonard has been a member of the Presidium of the IRU Geneva (International Road Union) since January 2018 and has served as vice-president for passenger transport there since January 2016. She is currently the managing director of the Federal Association of German Bus and Coach Operators. Christiane previously served as the deputy chief executive and worked as a legal advisor at the Berlin-Brandenburg Haulage Trade Guild. Christiane is a lawyer specialiszing in administrative law. She completed her first state law examination at the University of Osnabrück and her second at the Higher Regional Court of Hamm.
During her studies (B.A. International Business) Totinia Hörner discovered her passion for the mobility industry. Since then, she has been working for mobility start-ups and passionately moderates panels and interviews on the topic of mobility.
Kerstin Kube-Erkens works for Messe Berlin, one of the largest trade exhibition companies in Germany. She received her degree in business administration from the University of Westminster in London and the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. She started her career as a regional sales director at Elf Oil Deutschland GmbH (now Total). As a product architect, Kerstin focuses on new product ideas for Messe Berlin, conducts market assessments, and develops business cases in a national and international context. She is especially interested in interdisciplinary work and knowledge transfer.
Dr Stefan Carsten is an urban geographer and futurologist. He has been working on the triad of future, city and mobility for 25 years. He was a project manager in futurology at Daimler AG in Berlin, where he was responsible for the development of new mobility services, among other things, as well as a visiting professor at the HBK Braunschweig, in the Institute for Transportation Design. Since 2019, he has been cooperating with the Zukunftsinstitut in Frankfurt am Main, where he publishes the Mobility Report, among other things. He is currently an advisory board member of the Federal Ministry of Transport for the modernization of public transport, the IAA Mobility in Munich and the Radbahn in Berlin.
