The stage is set for the future of mobility - and for the people who make it possible
The Young Professionals Programme and Bus Driver Day shine the spotlight on talent and skilled workers in systemically important professions.
From 15 to 16 April 2026, BUS2BUS in Berlin will showcase the latest innovations in the bus industry. It will also shine the spotlight on the people shaping this future: young talent and bus drivers. With an expanded Young Professionals Programme and the inaugural Bus Driver Day, the trade fair is providing significant impetus for securing skilled workers, promoting young talent, and raising the profile of this vital profession.

For anyone who wants to rethink mobility: our Young Professionals programme provides guidance and brings people together.
Focusing on the people behind mobility
“When we talk about the future of mobility, we must above all talk about the people who make it possible,” emphasises Kerstin Kube-Erkens, Director of BUS2BUS. “We want to inspire young talent, empower experienced professionals and finally give bus drivers the visibility they deserve. BUS2BUS is where this future begins.”
Young Professionals Programme: Space for inspiration, exchange and new perspectives
The Young Professionals Programme is aimed at anyone who is rethinking mobility – open to technology, sustainable and connected. It offers young professionals, career changers and employers an environment that provides orientation and creates space for encounters.
Highlights include an opening keynote on AI and technology, the curated ‘Next Generation Mobility’ tour, and workshops on recruiting and digital bus tourism. Panel discussions will focus on the needs of new target groups and highlight how fresh perspectives and long-standing expertise can combine to unleash innovative power.
The programme shows that the future is created when different generations engage in dialogue and learn from each other.
Bus Driver Day – Appreciation for the heart of mobility
On 16 April, BUS2BUS 2026 will celebrate the first Bus Driver Day – an event that highlights the central importance of this profession and appeals to people who are interested in working in public transport or bus tourism. The day will begin with a reception on the green carpet at Hub 27 and a joint tour to the Future Forum Stage.
The focus will be on a varied programme of talks and panels on the driving profession. New bus models will be presented and can even be tried out on site without a driving licence – a low-threshold offer that allows immediate proximity to the vehicle. In addition, all participants will receive a curated goodie bag – a small thank you for a big responsibility.

At BU2BUS 2026, there will be an autograph session with Michel Schwartz – the bus driver who went viral with his 4-1-5 greeting and became a TikTok star.
Meet and greet with Michel Schwartz: An ambassador for the industry
A special highlight of Bus Driver Day is the meet and greet with Michel Schwartz. He went viral with his 4-1-5 greeting and is now one of the most famous bus drivers in Germany. He exemplifies the passion, professionalism and identification that characterise the driving profession. BUS2BUS offers visitors the opportunity to meet him in person and chat with him.
Conclusion: The future of the bus industry has many faces – and they will be visible at BUS2BUS
With the Young Professionals programme and Bus Driver Day, BUS2BUS 2026 is sending a strong message: innovation thrives on people. The trade fair offers them a stage, connects generations, creates perspectives and honours professions without which mobility would not be possible.
