Environmentally friendly air conditioning
This emission-free rooftop air conditioning system uses the natural refrigerant R290 to combine high energy efficiency, safety and PFAS/F-gas compliance, ensuring future-proof bus air conditioning.
Maintaining the right temperature on a bus is crucial for a comfortable travel experience. At the same time, EU-level regulations such as the F-Gas Regulation and the upcoming PFAS ban are forcing fleet operators to retrofit. The emission-free Spheros REVO®-E R290 roof-mounted air conditioning system uses the natural, environmentally friendly refrigerant R290, so it is unaffected by these changes. The product family's design combines maximum energy efficiency with comprehensive safety testing. It meets the requirements of all bus types worldwide, even under extremely hot conditions. Additional features include heat pump operation, battery and component cooling, an integrated driver's seat connection and heat recovery. The interfaces are compatible with the existing REVO®-E Global and REVO®-E R744 series, facilitating integration. Series production is scheduled to start at the end of 2026.
