In addition to highlighting the trends, topics and the key issues at the upcoming event she gave an update on preparations. The latest political and economic developments determining the conditions under which the event will take place also play an important role, she said.

Martin Ecknig, CEO of Messe Berlin:
“There is a good reason why the bus industry is meeting here on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds in the heart of the capital. Hardly any other city stands for sustainable mobility in the same way that Berlin does. Few other trade fair venues have so many groundbreaking events. With InnoTrans, ILA, MES Expo, the IZB and BUS2BUS we are experts on mobility, whether by rail, in the air or on the roads.

Christiane Leonard, Secretary General of the German Bus and Coach Operators Association:
“The pandemic, climate change, and exploding fuel prices mean the industry faces big challenges. On the one hand, services will have to expand to an unprecedented degree to meet the new transport era’s needs. On the other hand, measures must be undertaken to ensure a successful transition to alternative drives in public transport.”

Dr. Stefan Carsten, Futurist, Urban Geographer and Curator of the Future Forum at BUS2BUS:
“The Future Forum gives the industry a platform for an in-depth discussion on topics concerning the future. How do we want to get from A to B? How will we travel? How can we still protect the climate? Together with experts representing politics, industry and science we will discuss these issues and set the tone for a bus industry that is well equipped for the future.“

Kerstin Kube-Erkens, Senior Product Manager, BUS2BUS:
“After two years of the pandemic, at last a live event again! We are greatly looking forward to offering manufacturers, suppliers and tourism professionals a platform in our display halls on the exhibition grounds and to bringing them together again. As Germany’s only Trade Show focusing on mobility, BUS2BUS puts buses centre stage, with all the flexibility and sustainability they combine. Thus, this year the key topics are alternative drives as well as new travel concepts. We are looking forward to a wide-ranging and fascinating event.“

BUS2BUS, an innovative business platform for the bus and supplier industry in Germany that focuses exclusively on the bus industry, has been held since 2017. BUS2BUS 2019 was attended by more than 1,700 trade visitors from 34 countries and 103 exhibiting companies from 13 countries. Preparations for BUS2BUS 2022 indicate that the Trade Show will be even bigger, with more buses and test drive opportunities than ever before. With the combination of a Trade Show, an informative stage program of Future Forum and bdo Congress tracks, as well as workshops and presentations (BUS2Specials), it will cover the entire range of future technologies and showcase the latest trends and innovations in the bus industry. The next BUS2BUS will take place from 27 to 28 April 2022 in Berlin.
