Gerd Schneider is result driven, reliable and experienced. He has senior sales executive expertise in building customer relationships, international sales management, leading international sales teams, key account management, international tender business, added-value sales of highly complex products, systems and services, aftermarket business development, service networks, strategic planning and reporting.
As division manager for application engineering, Christian Schmidt is responsible for the development of customer applications. He has been with Valeo Thermal Commercial Vehicles GmbH (formerly Spheros and before that, Webasto) since 1999 and previously worked as a customer project manager and in the design department. Christian draws on his 22 years of experience in air conditioning and refrigeration technology.
Marvin Ruf completed his master's degree in automotive engineering at the TU Berlin and has been working in the Mobility Solutions innovation lab at Daimler Buses for more than three years. As a business developer, his main task focuses on innovation management and the development of new business models for digital services within the scope of the bus ecosystem.
Since 1st January 2020, Britta Oehlrich has been responsible for innovation and change at Hamburger Hochbahn, where she advances innovations ranging from e-scooters and autonomous driving, to 5G and AI. She is also committed to agile working. Her department generally focuses on change and trying out new forms of organization. Britta strives to establish a new attitude that will help prepare her company for the challenges of the VUCA world. Britta previously worked in the Hochbahn business development department. Her motto is "We want to make mobility a little better every day." Britta's previous career positions included jobs at Transdev, Deutsche Bahn, TUI and Debitel.
Anja Ludwig is a lawyer who, since mid-2015, is the deputy chief executive of the bdo, where she previously worked as head of legal affairs. Before that, Anja worked as a legal advisor at the Sparkasse Spree-Neiße bank in Cottbus. She completed her first state law examination at Humboldt University in Berlin and her second at the Court of Appeal in Berlin.
Andreas Möller is a lawyer and senior partner at Roland Berger. He previously served as managing director at ADAC after working in several management positions at DB Regio. Andreas is a specialist in public and regional rail transport, new mobility and municipal economy, as well as an expert in the field of public regulation, public procurement and competition law.
Sales & Marketing Director Manfred Limbrunner has been a member of the executive board at the parent company Proton Motor Power Systems plc since 2017. He is also the director of sales & marketing at Proton Motor Fuel Cell GmbH based in Puchheim near Munich. Proton Motor is a pioneer in hydrogen and fuel cell technology. The company has set its sights on developing and manufacturing sustainable energy solutions for the world of tomorrow in the mobile, stationary, maritime and rail sectors. The emission-free fuel cell is one example.
Manfred joined Proton Motor in 2000 as a design engineer and project manager for various mobile and maritime projects. In his early years with the company, he was responsible for system engineering and approval issues for Proton Motor's fuel cell hybrid systems. In the course of the company's development, he built up the design department and took over its management. He was instrumental in designing the quality management system and moved into the role of product manager in 2009.
Christiane Leonard has been a member of the Presidium of the IRU Geneva (International Road Union) since January 2018 and has served as vice-president for passenger transport there since January 2016. She is currently the managing director of the Federal Association of German Bus and Coach Operators. Christiane previously served as the deputy chief executive and worked as a legal advisor at the Berlin-Brandenburg Haulage Trade Guild. Christiane is a lawyer specialiszing in administrative law. She completed her first state law examination at the University of Osnabrück and her second at the Higher Regional Court of Hamm.
Kerstin Kube-Erkens works for Messe Berlin, one of the largest trade exhibition companies in Germany. She received her degree in business administration from the University of Westminster in London and the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. She started her career as a regional sales director at Elf Oil Deutschland GmbH (now Total). As a product architect, Kerstin focuses on new product ideas for Messe Berlin, conducts market assessments, and develops business cases in a national and international context. She is especially interested in interdisciplinary work and knowledge transfer.
Heinz Kiess is head of bus product marketing at MAN Truck & Bus SE. He has intensively followed his bus DNA from the very beginning. As a trained auto mechanic and industrial clerk, Heinz has merged his fundamental skills in the fields of product management and marketing. He has been contributing his extensive industry knowhow and international experience in a leadership role at MAN since 2006. With a keen eye for customer needs, he is an expert in incorporating individual preferences into bus design and equipment packages
In the name of the future: Generation Y spokesperson
Tristan Horx has appeared on international stages as a Generation Y spokesperson since the age of 24. His main topic is the future. Born shortly before the turn of the millennium, Tristan is a member of the popular Millennials target group. The interests and motives of this group make it a focal point for many companies when it comes to questions regarding social change, culture and new economic thinking. Having grown up in what is probably Europe's best-known family of futurologists, Tristan experienced from an early age the clash of perspectives of the generation system in a natural microcosm. With the sensitive instinct of a listener and a keen interest in future topics, he quickly grew into his role as an engaged dialog partner, public speaker and Generation Y publicist. He questions the future of digitaliszation, mobility, globalization and sustainability with critical optimism and a humorous, visionary eye. Tristan is known as a subtle and unrelenting interview partner for the people he selects for his podcast series. As a guest speaker on international stages, he polarizes in his native English or in German and stimulates critical discourse. As the author of various publications, he focuses on visionary scenarios in his range of topics, such as the future of digitalizsation, mobility, globalization and sustainability.
Andreas Haller began his career with an apprenticeship as a car mechanic. After studying automotive business management, he joined the family-owned Haller GmbH & Co. KG in the fifth generation. He soon expanded the Gersthofen site along with the three other Haller plants in Dillingen, Sulzemoos and Ulm. Andreas founded Quantron AG in June 2019. Back in 2011, he sold Germany's first electric bus.
With more than 138 years of company history in his DNA, Andreas supports the vision of a changing automotive scenario at Quantron with solid expertise in customer relations, vehicle technology & transformation and community mobility solutions. His responsibilities at Quantron AG include marketing, sales and corporate development.
Andreas Hager is the managing director of e-troFit GmbH. He gained many years of professional experience as a global sales manager before joining the in-tech Group. In more than three years as site manager in Ingolstadt, the number of employees increased under his leadership from 40 to 200. In 2018, Andreas was appointed to head of the newly established New Mobility Solutions business unit, where the e-troFit concept was developed. The project was spun off as a subsidiary in 2019 and Andreas became managing director of e-troFit GmbH. He is also managing director of two other in-tech subsidiaries specializing in vehicle charging and mobility concepts. His high level of empathy and strong communication skills are reflected in his management style. His profile is complemented by his strong motivational talent and wide-ranging intercultural expertise.
In his position as sales manager, Frank Färber is responsible for Europe-wide OEM and aftersales (development). He has been with Valeo Thermal Commercial Vehicles GmbH since 2014 and was previously responsible for aftersales. Frank relies on 20 years of experience in air conditioning and refrigeration technology.
Dr Stefan Carsten
Dr Stefan Carsten studied geography, business administration and cartography in Berlin and Waterloo (Canada). He earned his doctorate at the Freie Universität Berlin with a dissertation on 'Sustainable Development of Urban Regions'. From 1997 to 2013, he was a project manager in the future and environment research department at Daimler AG in Berlin, where his work focused on the development of mobility services and the research-based future of cities and regions. From 2008 to 2014, he was a visiting professor at the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK) Institute for Transportation Design, where he explored the future of post fossil-fuel mobility. From 2016 to 2019, he served on the German Federal Ministry of the Interior's expert panel on the future of small suburban towns. Since 2019, he has been collaborating with the Zukunftsinstitut in Frankfurt/Main where, among other things, he is involved in the publication of the annual Mobility Report. He has been working since 2014 as an independent consultant focusing on topics ranging from futurology and urban environments, to mobility and energy. Stefan Carsten advises key players in the mobility industry, insurance companies, banks, energy companies, cities/regions and security institutions.
Claus Bünnagel has been editor-in-chief of the trade journal busplaner (HUSS-VERLAG GmbH, Munich) since 2018. The Rhinelander has been working for bus and transport trade publications for 23 years. For the past 13 years, he has been a member of a small circle of trade journalists who test drive new bus models each month. He has been working for busplaner since 2013 and took over a key role on the bus testing team in 2016.
Luca Bortolani ist Mitbegründer von Twiliner und möchte damit Reisen zukunftstauglicher machen. Gemeinsam mit Partnern entwickelt Twiliner einen emissionsarmen und hochwertigen Nachtreisebus mit innovativen Komfortsitzen, der im Sommer 2022 in einer ersten Version auf den Markt kommen soll. Luca arbeitete 14 Jahre in Startups und Konzernen im Nachhaltigkeitsbereich und hält einen Master in Economics von der Universität St.Gallen.
Dr Christoph Berdenich
Dr Christoph Berdenich is the managing director of EBA busfinder GmbH. A trained computer scientist, he became familiar with bus tourism more than 12 years ago as part of a side job during his medical studies. His passion is the conceptualisation, development and marketing of digital solutions for start-ups. As a member of the Faculty of Computer Science at the University of Vienna he teaches 'User Interface Design'. Aside from all things digital, he likes motor sports, music and animals.
