bdo Congress Panel III: Did the compromise around the Public Transport Act fail?

Category
bdo-Kongress

Date
April 26, 2017

Time
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Location
bdo-Congress Hall 22

Theme: Public Transport

A joint cooperation between municipal and private companies is becoming more and more difficult in the field of transport on the ground. In the current development, the bdo sees the danger of maintaining the previously well-balanced public transport structure in Germany. While the representatives of municipal top-level associations are concerned about current self-employed proposals for urban transports such as Pforzheim and Hildesheim, the representatives of the bdo on the other hand are showing an expansion of communal structures with the disappearance of private enterprises in dramatic proportions.

Will this bring an end to the PBefG (Public Transport Act) compromise endorsed in 2012 by federal and state governments?

Impulse lecture: "Public transport of the future - Is the amended Passenger Transportation Act in need of renewal?"
